Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Every Monday a football coach comes and teaches KS2 how to play football. This tremendous teacher is going to be teaching KS2 for 6 weeks and he will be teaching them a lot of his skills. On the 16th of April, our coach taught the KS2 children to dribble. In preparation for the upcoming tournament, all of the children have been working extremely hard.
The children are looking forward to all their sessions and are thoroughly enjoying their lessons. This seems like the perfect time for budding footballers to grow!

Year 5 swimming was about building confidence up so if people fall in the water they can save themselves. Some people got 5m, 10m, 15m ,20m, 25m and 50m. Also, some people achieved water safety 1 and 2. There were some great games to play to help us as well.

Year 5 Swimming
The year 5 class have been working hard on their swimming skills to try and get their 25 metres. Not only have they got their 25 metres, some have achieved 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50 metres.
We all had one lesson on water safety and we had to pretend that we were in the sea. When one person was swimming we all had to throw water over them. It was hard because we had to wear our pyjamas but fun!

The spring school disco, held on Wednesday 11th April saw children and parents from all classes across the school having a great time whilst dancing, singing and having fun. The event was held in order to raise funds for resources and future activities within school.
Thanks to you, we managed to raise a great £244.86!
Children from all year groups were enjoying the music and electric atmosphere. We have some very talented dancers among us at Anthony Bek.
There was music, snacks and towards the end, we held a raffle. More music followed until finally the disco drew to a close. Until next time…

Today Sports Direct collected 36 shoe boxes from some of our School Council.
Thank you very much to all of you who either filled a box or sent in some things to go in a shoe box. I am sure that they will make some children very happy this Christmas.
