Three of our pupils went to the finals, two of them ran the Cross country 1900 metre race, we believe we placed 3rd but are waiting final confirmation. Well done to them.
Pupils came in non uniform and paid a £1 to go to Comic Relief. They also dressed in odd socks for WDSD. Altogether we raised £263 to send to charity.
Glow Disco, again this was a great success and all the pupils had a great time. We've had some fabulous feedback from parents too.
This was a great success. Both staff and pupils dressed up as a word. Plus we had some great entries for the potato competition. How lovely to see everyone enjoying their day. Lots of fun activities throughout the day for the pupils, which included shared reading with different year groups and book mark making. We ended the day in our assembly with a masked reader, where the staff member sat behind a screen, read and disguised their voice. The pupils had guesses at who it was.
Four pupils competed in a Cross Country district competition today. Many schools took part. Two of the girls got through to the county finals, coming 2nd and 3rd. How exciting is that! A big well done to all 4 competitors.
We have had some new parking signs, children size, hopefully these will help and encourage safe parking at drop off and collection times.
FS & KS1 4:15-5:15 and KS2 5:30-6:30 Wednesday 18th March
Pupils in year 5 and 6 attended Sports-hall activities against other local schools. A great time was had by all. A couple of our pupils were recognised as being aspiring athletes. All pupils were a credit to our school for their competitiveness and also their excellent behaviour.
We have now completed the new Garden Room, which will be used as an alternative learning and activity room all through the school year by a variety of children. How lucky are we?
Our Choir attended Young Voices at Sheffield. Everyone was amazing and did Anthony Bek proud. Well done to the choir.
