  • Lawn bowls competition

    Thu 29 Nov 2018

Last Monday two teams of children from years 5 and 6 went to the Arc in Clowne for a lawn bowls competition.

They had trained hard at an after school club and two teams competed against other schools in the area.

The children all bowled extremely well but it came down to us and another school in the final. Our children said that it was very nerve-wracking and in the end they came a very credible second.

Thanks must go to Mr Gamble and his team of gentlemen who gave up their time to coach the children. Everyone enjoyed their afternoon of lawn bowls.

  • Children In Need

Wed 21 Nov 2018 The news crew

Last Friday we had a brilliant day in school - there were children from many Historical eras and lots of Pudsey bears around too. We raised £451 by paying to come in non-uniform, buying cakes and making a trail round the hall of pennies and two pence coins.

Thank you to all the parents who bought / made costumes and cakes - your contributions were greatly appreciated.

here are some of our best bits!

  • Remembrance Day

    Mon 19 Nov 2018

On Friday 9th November, the main school all went down to the Pleasley Cenotaph to pay our respects to all those who have lost their lives in Wars. Each class had made their own poppies and we arranged them in the shape of 100 years to remember that it was 100 years since the end of WW1.

Thank you to Rev. Karen Bradley for leading the service and all the parents and friends who supported us.

  • Halloween Disco

    Wed 07 Nov 2018

Wednesday 24th October was the Halloween disco, there were lots of children who went and their costumes were fabulous. The first disco was for KS1 was at 5:15-6:15 PM and the one for KS2 was at 6:15-7:15pm.

All of the children enjoyed it and had lots of fun and there were lots of different costumes and lots of extreme makeup. There was lots of dancing, music and there was a fancy, scary costume competition.

Thank you to all the staff who stayed behind to help and thank you also to all the parents who provided some lovely cakes and biscuits for us to buy.

We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs (don’t be too scared!!)
