Stand Up Derbyshire day
On Friday 27th of September it was the day when active learning was taking place across the whole school. The day was begun with a whole school exercise/dance class in the hall. We then spent time in our classes taking part in activities such as drama, writing numbers in chalks on the playground, telling a whole story with actions and completing Maths challenges in groups around the hall. In fact, in one class, all the tables and chairs were completely removed.
Of course every class also completed the Daily Mile on the field –(we managed to dodge the rain!)
In our Well Done assembly at the end of the day the classes came together again and shared their activities. It was agreed that the day had been a huge success.
