Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our fabulous choir performed a variety of Christmas songs, both traditional and modern at the Arc Leisure Centre in Bolsover to a wonderful audience, including Councillors of Bolsover District Council. Even Santa dropped in to hear them! Well done, everyone!
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas fair this year. There was face painting, a visit from Santa, raffles and food and drink to buy. We raised a massive £1400 which will be spent on the children over the next year or so.
Many thanks to the staff and parents who helped out and of course to you for supporting it.
Yesterday, children in main school and the morning nursery walked down to St Michael's Church to look at the Christmas trees.
There were trees from each of our classes in school and also trees from local businesses and families.
The Church looked absolutely beautiful and when our children sang some of their Christmas songs it really made us feel that Christmas has started.
Thank you to Rev. Karen who spoke to us all and thank you to the parents who joined us to celebrate the start of our Christmas festivities.
On Wednesday 29th November two Year 5/6 teams (boys and girls) took part in the Sportshall athletics competition in Clowne. After several hard training sessions they took part in activities such as a relay, javelin, sprint, obstacle and long jump. The children were very well behaved and put so much effort into the events.
At the end of the competition our school came second and can now go forward to the next round.
Mrs Johnson, who trained the team, was very proud of them and is now planning even more training sessions!
Thanks to the parents who transported the children to the venue and stayed to cheer them on.
