Spring Term Reading Challenge - KS1

The children who entered the reading challenge this term worked really hard to produce interesting and informative posters about plants and trees. Here are a few of the winning entries.

Easter Service @ St. Michael's Church- Wednesday 5th April

Listen to the beautiful voices of our KS2 children singing 'The Easter Story'. Have your tissues ready!

End of Autumn Term 2 2016

We have had another  super response to the reading challenge. This time the children were asked to make a model of a character from a Jill Murphy book. Have a look at some of the fantastic work produced!

End of Spring Term 2

Yet again we have had a fantastic response to the KS1 reading challenge. The children had to research and present information about plants and trees. We had lots of creative pieces of work from dainty flowers to tall trees. All the children were able to explain a fact or two about their plant the rest of the Key Stage. I learnt lots of new and exciting facts about daffodils! Well done to all who took part and a big well done to our winners!

Look at our fantastic winners of the reading challenge!

It was a very hard task choosing winners when so many children had taken part and clearly enjoyed researching about endangered animals. In the end, Miss Galbraith and I decided to award certificates to those who had put lots of effort into their work concentrating on handwriting, constructing sentences and presenting their information neatly and in an imaginative way.

A big well done to all those who took part! We look forward to seeing your new challenges very soon!

Children from Year 1 and Year 2 have been busy completing this term's reading challenge. They were asked to research and present information about endangered animals. We have had so many children take part and it has been lovely sharing their work in assemblies. Lots of Year 2's used the skills learnt in I.C.T to research, type up and copy and paste pictures. In Year 1 the children have presented their information in variety of ways from making a penguin scene to pop up books. Fantastic - well done everybody!
